A. Briefing Notes for Staff
The unit counts towards a first certificate combined with Unit 1 (One GCSE)
The students need to analyse and evaluate existing clips before writing a brief about the video they will edit. They will need a video
clip and audio files provided for them to be able to produce the final product. Evidence of editing and testing will be required. The
moderator will watch the completed video during the moderation process whilst checking the paper folders. Pupils will need to take
regular backups and save the movie maker project regularly to avoid losing the project due to unforeseen problems. Annotated
print screens will be required as evidence and witness statements can be used where needed. Sample coursework is available as
well as individual parts of the coursework that can be used as exemplars for students.
