Xerox OPB Rewards Channel Sales Achievements
Xerox Glacier Driving Challenge 2001
April 20, 2001 – Bourne End, UK: Xerox Office Printing Business (OPB) has
announced an incentive for its channel partners in the shape of a 4-day
excursion to Reykjavik, Iceland over the Midsummer weekend (22-25 June).
The Xerox Glacier Driving Challenge will reward channel sales achievements
from March to Mid-May and 20 winners from Belgium, Denmark, Germany,
Greece, Italy, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland will attend the trip.
“Creating healthy competition among our resellers has a very positive effect,”
says Stephen Burt, European channel marketing manager, Xerox OPB. “We feel
that the incentive programme and investment in our resellers are integral to
developing solid relationships with the channel across Europe.”
OPB’s top European channel sales people will be treated to an action packed
few days and accommodated in one of Reykjavik’s top hotels. Lucky winners will
be whisked off to Iceland for activities that will include whale-watching, a day long
Glacier Safari in monster 4x4 jeeps and a cocktail reception at an outdoor
swimming pool – all while taking advantage of 24 hour daylight!
Burt enthuses, “This event follows the huge success of the first European
channel incentive event, the Xerox Desert Driving Challenge held in Morocco in
January. We are certain that we will repeat its success.”
Xerox OPB sells exclusively through distributors, serving a fast-growing market
for colour and monochrome printing from the networked office to the graphic arts
environment.
