Adopt-An-Element Research Project Requirements: 1.)Complete an Adopt An Element information sheet. (50% of grade) Information sheet must be neatly written in blue or black ink or typed and contain all of the required information. 2.) Create a poster/advertisement for your element. (40% of grade) The poster may be created on the computer (use white or colored paper) or by hand on 9 x12 inch construction paper. The advertisement must include the element’s name, symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, cost, and a rhyming advertising slogan that describes one or more of its important uses. The advertisement must be neat, colorful, and contain all information listed above. Also required are two images or pictures of your element as they relate to your advertisement theme. 3.) Works Cited Page. (10% of grade) You may use a variety of resources to locate the information needed to complete this project, including internet sites and reference books. Three resources are required on the works cited page. This page must be typed on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the information sheet. Review example attached. 4.) Finally, present your poster and advertising slogan to the class. Example of poster/advertisement: 33 Your ad must follow the same format as this example.
