A student who has received credit for any college-level Spanish must continue the sequence at Florida State University through SPN 2220, in order to fulfill the language requirement. A student who has taken Spanish in high school and has never enrolled in any college-level Spanish may exempt the first levels of college Spanish by exam. Students have access to a state-of-the-art computer lab plus an audio lab. Students may also determine placement based on the results of the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) in Spanish. This exam is optional and can award the student up to 12 hours college credit CLEP Exam: Students who have not yet received any college credit in Spanish may register for this exam through the Office of Assessment Services, Rm 1200 University Center Bldg C (850) 644-3017.
