CeBIT 2013: Easily upgrade your mobility app for physical access

CeBIT 2013 will take smartphone apps of the so-called Shareconomy to the next
level – thanks to award-winning BlueID technology from baimos technologies:
Service providers and operators of mobility solutions can now easily upgrade their
smartphone apps to provide physical access with a patented technology.
A carsharing app that actually opens and starts the car – a
mobile parking app that opens traffic barriers – a smart emobility app that opens e-bike charging boxes: Scenarios
which all seem very obvious finally become reality thanks to
patented BlueID technology.
One of the spectacular showcases at CeBIT 2013 is the BlueID Drive Demo Car. Powered
by BlueID technology and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, this car can be opened and started
by the iPhone 5 in a split-second. By using a smartphone app with BlueID, the iPhone can
wirelessly send a command to the vehicle. BlueID Drive Demo Car verifies the permission,
unlocks the doors and starts the engine. An internet connection for verification is not
required. Therefore, the system works flawlessly and fast even deep inside parking
garages.
BlueID is a professional access permission management system that relies on certificatebased encryption and provides seamless backend connectivity. Service providers and
operators of carsharing and mobile parking systems can easily connect their backend by
using the BlueID Operator API. This way, any backend system, like a carsharing booking
system, can be enhanced with BlueID technology.
The good news for all existing smartphone apps is that by using the BlueID Software
Development Kit (SDK), many apps can easily be upgraded to support access via
smartphone. Thus, any app that runs on popular smartphone platforms such as Apple iOS
and Google Android can provide secure physical access features.
