Resource /Staffing Manager – General Motors Infrastructure Account

Responsible for staffing all Critical Open Resource Needs for this account of 5,000 employees globally (internal, external and contract), working with leaders to transition employees from one account to another (Organizational

Development), hiring contractors, and offering solutions for overall workforce management, staffing and general

Human Resources Support. Served as the initial HR focal point for the organization to educate and mentor on current

HR processes. Other duties include:

 Creation of all HR processes including templates, communication plans, and data tracking

 Help gather and track HR Data (Headcount and bestshore templates; contractor data) to better manage resources and allocations

 Workforce Management Lead Member in the General Motors Global Workforce Management Office. Served as the liaison between this group and Infrastructure – to ensure processes were adhered to and understood by the teams

 Participated in the Talent Management Program Office – for movement of 12,500 resources Globally during the EDS/GM RFP Transition (June, 2006 – making sure all of the resources had work within the account upon win/loss announcement, or were moved to other roles within the corporation to avoid release – transition was very successful)

 Workforce Management planning and tools (tools included: Primavera Evolve, eLance, US eTemps – vendor and employee management systems)

 Subject Matter Expert for the Evolve Program Deployment (Evolve is an HR Resource tracking & utilization database) o Responsible for ownership of the tool/process/roll out for the organization to leadership and teams o Trained and mentored 8 employees on the use of Evolve. Responsible to work and support these employees on an on-going basis, ensuring the consistent and proper use of Evolve. Served as the

liaison between the GM WFM office and these teams to educate, share new information, and help ensure the tool was being used effectively. o Attended weekly meetings to learn about new processes and updates for the tool and was responsible to take those updates and ensure my team understood and collectively got the work done

Human Resource Consultant – Global Workforce Management Office (Corporate HR)

Responsible for creating and implementing a new Global Offering for EDS for Internal Sourcing. Used the Corporate

Enterprise Tool, Primavera Evolve Database, and incorporated Sourcing Strategies, Labor Planning and Staffing

Processes to staff open positions with internal resources and offer better career opportunities for the workforce. In short, we were responsible to try and fill all high level positions internally, before it went to the Recruiting Department.

Responsibilities included:

 Creation of all processes including templates, communication plans, training and scope documents. Created the Staffing Process (how to open a staffing requisition, how to fill internally, when to send external, etc.)

 Building relationships with EDS internal partners and leaders

 Strategic planning on what the offering will include; working with various business partners to understand what is needed in the current environment; training on the tools and processes

 Lead HR Consultant for the GM Triple Crown new business project – which will transition over 12,000 employees to existing assignments, new assignments and other business partners. Helped to create and manage the overall process that will be used for the movement of these resources

 Member of special project teams for creation of other new global process across EDS that affect Workforce

Planning

 Short Term Assignment as an HR Business Partner, supporting the Application Delivery Organization

(65,000 employees). Focus was to help deliver corporate programs and initiatives to ensure the current strategic business directions were delivered and implemented from a business and HR perspective.
