SUMMER READING 2015
BEAVERTON CITY LIBRARY
Registration for Summer Reading begins
Monday, June 1 and ends Monday,
July 20. Prizes can be picked up
July 6-August 12.
After signing up, read 15 hours and earn a book
and other prizes!
The Beaverton City Library’s Summer Reading
Program is for all children birth through grade five.
Register online at BeavertonLibrary.org/SRP or in
person at the Main Library or Murray Scholls Branch.
It is fun, easy and a great way to practice
reading and prevent summer learning loss.

Book Lovers’ Scavenger Hunt
Monday, June 29, 10 AM-8 PM  Grades 3-8 with adult  Drop-in
Kids & tweens bring your favorite adult in to create a scavenger hunt
based on your favorite books – then complete it to win prizes.
Superhero Scavenger Hunt
Sunday, July 5, 1-5 PM  Ages 4-12 with family  Drop-in
Follow the clues and find superheroes hidden in the library!
Lunch Lady Kids Program
Tuesday, July 21, 3-4 PM  Grades 2-5 with family  Drop-in
Join us to celebrate the ever heroic Lunch Lady with crafts and
activities!
LEGO® Party
Friday, July 24, 1:30-3 PM  Grades 1-5 with adult
Celebrate LEGOs® with a building contest, minifigure bingo, games and
more! You'll have chances to a win prize!
Minecraft for Kids
Tuesday, July 28, 4-5 PM  Grades 2-8  Drop-in
Come to the library to enjoy crafts and games based on Minecraft!

Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation brings their ever popular Nature
Mobile to the library!
Sunday Family Movie
Sundays, June 21, July 19 & August 16, 2-4 PM  All ages, children under
10 must be accompanied by an adult
Enjoy the auditorium’s posh seats while you watch popular new-to-DVD
family movies on the big screen for free!
WEDNESDAY PERFORMANCES AT MAIN
All performances are in Meeting Rooms A&B. Enter through the
conference room off the lobby. No registration required.
For all ages. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
