Cedar Mountain MS/HS Daily Announcements Tuesday, December 8

General Announcements

Cougar Connection family night and activity permission slips are due TODAY. We hope to see that a lot of students can join the fun!

Cougar Connection meets today from 3:20-5:30. Cougar Connection family night is Thursday!!! Lots of fun is planned including games, a family Christmas craft and a nummy supper. Come today and get more info and join in the planning. Our activity is also planned for Friday in New Ulm. Get your permission slip for that also!

The Springfield PostProm Committee will be running concessions at the game tonight. They will be serving BBQ pork sandwiches, along with hot dogs, pizza, nachos, candy, popcorn and beverages.

Yellow Ribbon Week will be December 14th - 18th. Someone dies of suicide every 13 minutes in our country. We recognize this week as a way to raise awareness of mental health issues and remember those who have been affected by suicide. There is an activity planned throughout the day Monday as well as 2 presenters on Wednesday afternoon. We ask everyone to wear a Yellow Ribbon shirt or wear yellow on Wednesday. Grade level points will be awarded for your participation.

If you weren't able to be at the speech meeting, see Mrs. C. Hoffmann or Ms. Garms to get the season schedule and info.

Pictures are in for those who had pictures taken on retake day. Stop in the ms/hs office to pick yours up.

CM is doing a food drive for WE Care which serves our local communities. Any non-perishable food may be dropped off by Friday, December 11th in Franklin and Tuesday, December 15th in Morgan.

Open Gym will be held on Sundays from 6:30-8:30.

Slumberland's Home for the Holidays - Slumberland will once again be giving away beds to families in need this holiday season. It is on a first come first serve basis and beds must be picked up on

Tuesday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. in Willmar. If you or someone you know is need of a bed please contact Mrs. Sturm ASAP. There must be minor children living in the home.

Athletic

Good Luck to the Wrestlers on their match at Tracy. They are dismissed at 3:15.

Good Luck to the JH BBB teams on their games at Sleepy Eye. Bus leaves at 3:30.

Good Luck to the JH GBB teams. They will play in Franklin against Sleepy Eye.

Good Luck to the Varsity and B squad BBB teams on their games at Springfield. B squad plays at

4:30 and Varsity at 6:00. Bus leaves at 3:45.

Good Luck to the Varsity GBB team. They will play at Springfield around 7:30 (right after the

Varsity Boys).

High School

Students in Grades 9-12 interested in Sr. High Knowledge Bowl there will be an informational meeting on TODAY during lunch in the Media Center.

ECFE Holiday activity night is tonight. If anyone would like senior or NHS hours, please contact

Mrs. Tietz.

Wayne’s is looking for a part-time pizza person (must be 16+) and cashier (must be 18+). If interested please stop there.

Music Dept.

CHANGE: Pep Band will not be playing Thursday for the GBB game.

Pep Band will play Friday, 1/8/16 for the BBB game. Be ready to play at 6:40.

The 6-12 Instrumental and Choral Winter Concert is Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00PM in the gym.

Concert attire for women is black pants or black skirts, black tights/nylons, black socks, black shoes and a white top. Concert attire for men is black pants, black socks, black shoes, and a white top (dark ties encouraged!). The Winter Concert is a formal event, so please look your best. Remember that the school dress code applies.

Blue Crue

The following students are asked to meet in Ms. Erdmann's room TOMORROW during 8th hour to plan Christmas Activities: Brittany Johnson, Haley Weidman, Megan Hacker, Becca Tietz, Amber

Tietz, and Mya Mathiowetz.

Every Tuesday at 7:50 am there will be a Blue Crue Meeting in Ms. Erdmann's room.
