Required Texts:
The editions noted here are mandatory for our course; I will require you to read
the essays included with the Norton Critical Editions and make use of them in
graded assignments.
Unless we have a discussion beforehand, I
will not allow
students to use electronic copies of these texts in our class. If you or your parents
have questions or concerns about this policy, please talk to me at
mhoffman@wihi.org
.
I have given you the ISBN-13 identifications for the texts; copying and pasting
the code into any online bookstore search engine will lead you to the proper edition
immediately. However, I would encourage you to plan ahead and purchase (or
more likely order) the texts from local bookstores. Local bookstores are valuable
parts of a community, and deserve our support. In Ann Arbor, Literati (located at
124 E. Washington, on the corner of Fourth) is an excellent resource.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are having any issues obtaining
these texts! We will start reading
Kitchen in our first class meeting, so please plan
accordingly.
