Otology/Neurotology John T. McElveen, Jr., M.D. Otologic Nursing Christy Hall, NP-C Candice Thomas, CST Audiology Kate Tolin, AuD., CCC-A Leah Fleischhauer, AuD., CCC-A May 1, 2015 Dear OSG Colleagues: CFO Teddie M. Bishop Executive Assistant Stacy H. Flannery I hope those of you that attended the recent COSM meeting in Boston had an enjoyable and productive time. As mentioned in the email sent to you just prior to that meeting, Doug Green has planned an excellent OSG scientific session with a special historical presentation on Julius Lempert. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend on Saturday, September 26, 2015. The meeting will be held at the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse in Dallas, TX, located relatively close to the Omni Hotel. Join us and discover for yourself why Jim O’Connor of the Food Network declared the Y.O. Steakhouse to be…”one of the nation’s finest steakhouses.” Follow this link http://www.yoranchsteakhouse.com/ to review the restaurant and their menus. Based on the rapidly growing membership of the OSG, we have reserved a banquet room that should accommodate our membership and Platinum exhibitors. It is essential that dues and dinner charges be paid in advance of the meeting. This year there will be an additional fee for on-site registrations. We hope to minimize registration delays that may prevent members from attending the business meeting/scientific session. The business meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 pm, followed by the scientific session. While we are meeting, the spouses will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments beginning at 6:00 pm. Following the scientific session, we will join them while the restaurant staff sets up for the dinner seating at 8:00. Dr. Green has asked me to remind members that membership dues must be current in order to attend the scientific session and social activities of the Otosclerosis Study Group. This is in accordance with the bylaws of the organization. The dues for this year will remain $50 per member. This does not include the cost of dinner, which is an additional $60 per person. It is only through the generous support of our exhibitors that the Otosclerosis Study Group is able to subsidize the dinner costs. I am pleased to report that we have already filled the slots for our Platinum Level exhibitors. We anticipate having a large turnout this year and need to have an accurate head count for the restaurant. Please complete and return the enclosed registration/dues form as soon as possible. If you have any questions please contact Stacy Flannery (sflannery@carolinaear.us) in my office. I want to personally thank each of you for your continued support of the Otosclerosis Study Group.
