Dear Parents,
I hope you have all received your letter from the
parishes announcing our NEW parent friendly
preschool/childcare program that we will be adding for the
2016-17 school year. This new option will follow the
school schedule and will allow parents to leave their
preschool child(ren) at the school throughout the school
day within the hours of 7:30 AM– 6:00 PM. We will also
continue with our option of morning or afternoon preschool without childcare which will be
held everyday Monday – Friday in the 2016-17 school year. We are very excited about this new
venture! If you have any questions, please call the school.
The students at John Paul II are selling raffle tickets which are sponsored by Catholic
United Financial. They will be selling over the next few weeks after weekend masses and in our
community. The tickets are sold for $5 each. Please call the school if you would like to
purchase any. There are some really awesome prizes as seen in the pamphlet sent in the
Parent Packet last week. There will be a weekly top salesperson for each week of the sales that
will receive their choice of $50 SCRIP cards. We will also have weekly drawings of $100 for the
five weeks that we are selling the tickets. We have many awesome goals to meet on the way to
reaching the $19,000 set goal. Let’s all work together to reach that goal.
Our restaurant night this month is ALL DAY on January 26th at Whiskey
Creek. We hope you can come out and join us for some delicious food and
fellowship.
There will be a mandatory First Communion Parent Meeting for all
parents of students who will be receiving their First Communion soon at 7:00
on Wednesday, January 27th in the Multi Purpose Room at John Paul II School.
Are you ready for the school carnival? It will be on Sunday, January 31st. The food will
be served beginning at 11:00 am with games from 12 – 2:30 pm. We will announce the winners
of the class baskets and the tuition raffle board at 2:45 pm in the gym at the carnival. The
squares on the tuition raffle board are $25 each and the class basket squares are $20 each.
They are on sale in the school office. There will be two winners drawn for the tuition raffle
board, each for ½ year free tuition, and you DO NOT need to be present to
win this. There will be seven winners drawn for the class baskets and you
DO need to be present to win one of these baskets. We need everyone’s
help – please sign up on the Sign-Up Genius site. It will be a day of fun for
all!
