Academic & Support Services LSU is committed to your academic and personal success. In addition to working with your academic advisor, take advantage of the support systems the university offers to help you succeed. All students should review the university’s Policy Statement-‐22 (PS-‐22) regarding Student Absence from Class. It is important to be aware that any student who finds it necessary to miss class assumes responsibility for making up exams, obtaining lecture notes, and otherwise compensating for what may have been missed. Academic Services Center for Academic Success (CAS) offers valuable tools and strategies, both online and in person, to help you achieve your academic goals. Services include private consultations, workshops, tutoring, and peer-‐led study sessions to help maximize your learning potential. CAS provides study strategies, assistance with time management, test preparation, test anxiety, note-‐
taking, as well as concept-‐mapping and college-‐level reading strategies. | B-‐31 Coates | 225-‐578-‐2872 | cas@lsu.edu| www.lsu.edu/cas Communication across the Curriculum & Writing Support Services (CxC) helps improve students’ written, spoken, visual and technological communication skills in the disciplines through coursework, workshops, individual instruction, and the LSU Distinguished Communicator program. Studios have practice presentation rooms, individual and group workspaces, and multimedia equipment available for check-‐out. CxC studios are open to all LSU students.
