Joseph Shaveb is a senior associate in KPMG’s Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice. He is based in the
Atlanta office. Joseph originally joined KPMG in 2006 after receiving his Master of Taxation from the
University of Mississippi School of Accountancy. He spent two years as an associate with KPMG’s Audit
practice in Memphis, Tennessee, where he focused on integrated audits in the banking and finance
industry sector. In 2008, Joseph left KPMG to attend law school at the University of Mississippi where he
served as Business Manager and Staff Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal. Joseph graduated law
school summa cum laude. Subsequently, Joseph received an LL.M in Taxation from New York University
School of Law, where he was a Graduate Editor for the Tax Law Review. Following graduation in 2012,
Joseph rejoined KPMG in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice.
