Let Luis be your guide
with 5 easy steps...
Follow the yellow
yellow
brick road!
Starting at the home page of
The Shimberg
Health Sciences Library
http://www.hsc.usf.edu/library
STEP 1.
Your starting point.
The Shimberg Health Sciences Library home page.
http://www.hsc.usf.edu./library
By first checking the USF catalog, WebLUIS,
you have access to Full Text electronic titles that are
available to the Shimberg Health Sciences Library
from various sources.
Fast Fact. Due to licensing restrictions,
not all electronic journals can be added to the
Virtual Library.
Click on USF Library Catalog
STEP 2. WebLUIS.
Search by journal title.
If your search is successful, click on the
highlighted URL which will take you to the
journal’s Full Text online site.
STEP 3. What if the title you entered
is not listed in WebLUIS? (or has no URL)
Now it’s time to check the Virtual Library.
Click on the Virtual Library button located
at the top of the page.
STEP 4. The Virtual Library. For a journal search by
title, click on the resource labeled Electronic Journals.
You can search by title or title phrase. If you find the title
here, there will be a URL directly linked to one or more
Full Text databases that contain articles from the journal
you want.
Still can’t find a certain title? Head back to the

Proxy Help
When you are connected using USF as your
Internet Resource Provider (ISP), your IP address automatically allows access to USF library
materials. However, if you prefer to connect to
USF through an outside server, such as AOL or
Roadrunner, you will need to set up a proxy account. Instructions for Proxy Help are available
on our home page at:
