The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, seeks to fill a faculty position in the Ladder Rank (tenure-track) series at the Assistant/Associate or Full Professor level. Appointees to the Ladder Rank series are required to conduct independent research demarcated by regular publication and external funding, engage in teaching on a regular and significant basis, and participate in University and public service. Additionally, clinical practice in diabetes and endocrinology is required in this position. Candidates must possess an MD, or MD/PhD degree, or equivalent, and be board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. The demonstrated ability and experience to maintain an independent research program in the area of diabetes and/or metabolic disease risk is required. Demonstrated ability to advance inter-disciplinary collaboration and translational studies in diabetes related disciplines is required. Experience in or the ability to teach fellows, residents, medical and graduate students, as well as patient care experience in diabetes and endocrinology is required.
