Module 1: Wellness Knowledge
The primary tool used in this module is the online learning environment GeorgiaView and your
textbook. You may work online using a computer with internet access. The computer needs to
have enough memory to navigate the program. Students need to have basic knowledge of how to
use the computer. Tutorials and assistance is available from the Resources in MyASU. Quizzes
and exams are taken online, graded immediately, available for viewing, and recorded in the grade
book.
This module involves self-paced activities, which take you systematically through each chapter.
Each chapter has PowerPoint slides, assignments, and links to other websites. At the end of each
chapter is a quiz worth one (1) point. The assignment schedule below will provide information
for taking the quizzes.
There are two (2) scheduled exams during the semester. These exams are worth 10 points
each. You can only take these exams during the scheduled open times. These exams are password
protected. The password announcement will be posted in the Announcement section in
GeorgiaView 48 hours before the scheduled exam. The assignment schedule below will provide
information for completing these timed exams.
Online work must be completed as outlined as scheduled. To avoid any and all
unforeseen/unpredictable events, students are urged to complete or submit work early.

on main campus) during the semester. Each workout should be at least 90 minutes long, to
include warm-up, strength training, cardiovascular activity, and cool down. Refer to the American
College of Sports Medicine guidelines in your text. Check the posted Fitness Center Hours for
times and availability.
Have your Jag Card swiped every time you go to the ASU Fitness Center. The attendant’s
record of the time you arrive and leave will be used for verification. Each completed
