CAMP STAFF 2015 USRPT CAMP PETER ANDREW ________________________________________________________ Camper Name Born and raised in South Africa, Peter Andrew is a former swimmer himself. Throughout his years of coaching his son, he has coached Michael to 75 national record breaking swims and become the youngest U.S. male swimmer to turn professional. ________________________________________________________ Mailing Address The coach of Indie Swimming and foremost USRPT practitioner, Peter focuses on USRPT, an evidence-based training program based on shorter recovery times and specific race pace training. At his first swim meet in South Dakota, Michael, seven years old at the time, qualified for the state meet. The family moved from South Dakota to Lawrence, partly because the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center was where Michael set his first national record. MICHAEL ANDREW Michael became the youngest swimmer in United States history to turn professional when he signed his first endorsement deal shortly after his 14th birthday. Regarded as one of the best athletes in the history of the sport in his age group, Andrew continues to torch the record books with another nine short-course and five longcourse national age group records in 2014. As a 15-year-old, Andrew represented the US at last summer’s Junior Pan Pacs, medaling in the 100m back. Andrew currently tops the charts in the 50y free, 100y back, 100/200y breast, 100/200y fly, and 200y IM. In his own words: “I swim. I do what I do to glorify God (G2G). Swimming is a part of me, not all of me. I strive to lead a balanced life. I don’t Eat, Sleep, Swim. I train smart by following evidence based training methods. I train Ultra Short Race Pace Training (USRPT) and share all my secrets. Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness. I love doing what I do with my family and my team.” _________________________ ______ City State _________________ Zip Code _________________________ ______ Phone M/F ____________________ Date of Birth ____________________________________ Roommate Request (optional) DAILY SCHEDULE FRIDAY 3 p.m. 5:30 p.m. 6:45 p.m. 8 p.m. 10:30 p.m. SATURDAY 7 a.m. 8:30 a.m. 9:45 a.m. Noon _____________________________________ Email Address Registration Dinner Classroom Pool session Lights out SATURDAY (CONT.) 1:30 p.m. Classroom 2:45 p.m. Pool session 5 p.m. Dinner 6:45 p.m. Classroom 10:30 p.m. Lights out Breakfast Classroom Pool session Lunch SUNDAY 7 a.m. 8:30 a.m. 9:45 p.m. Noon Shirt Size (Circle One): S M Male / Female L *Send payment to: 1651 Naismith Drive Lawrence, KS 66045 ATTN: Jen Fox XL Youth / Adult (Please Circle) REGISTER ONLINE Breakfast Classroom Pool session Check out CONNECT WITH MICHAEL /SWIMMERMICHAELANDREW 100-yd Freestyle Time: ____________________ *Make check payable to: Jayhawk Swim Camp @SWIMMERMICHAEL Campers can also register online at: WWW.USRPTSWIMMINGCAMP.COM CAMP DETAILS Location: Dates: Check In: Check Out: Facilities: @SWIMMERMICHAEL SWIMMERMICHAEL.COM & USRPT.INFO QUESTIONS ABOUT KANSAS CAMPS?
