HOW DOES IT WORK?
Deaf Deaf World workshop is an educational workshop focuses on providing stimulating experiences of what it is like to be Deaf through supported interactive role-plays and hands on activities.
This gives the participants the opportunity to imagine and experience everyday life of Deaf people.
During the workshop, the tables are turned around. Participants enter a world that is only familiar to Deaf people, where verbal communication is virtually non-existent; where intuition and observing and participating in formal/informal body communication (including Sign Language) are often the key to success.
Workshop is broken into two segments: (Two Hours)
Interactive role-plays : including hands on activities where
Participants enter a world of the unknown.
Discussions : Participants debrief on their experiences and in t u r n with the facilitator, develop communication strategies, identifying common tips of the Deaf community and myth busters.
The workshop can be held anywhere in Victoria, even at your workplace
