COURSE GRADES:
There will be two midterm exams, a final exam which is cumulative, and homeworks that
will be assigned every week. Please staple your homeworks and write your name and the
discussion section on them. Usually the homeworks will be due on Fridays (TAs will discuss
the homework during the discussion time on Thursday). Late homeworks will not be accepted and make-up exams will not be given. The tentative dates for the exams are shown
below.
The course grade will be based on the calculation
F inal score = 0.10 × Homework + 0.20 × Exam1 + 0.20 × Exam2 + 0.50 × F inal
Important dates:
First class: 01 October.
Holidays: 25-26 November (Thanksgiving).
Last class: 10 December.
Exam 1: Thursday, 28 October.
Exam 2: Thursday, 18 November.
Final exam: Tuesday, 14 December, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
