Translators without Borders Internship: International Marketing Manager We offer a 6-month work internship with the opportunity to work for a thriving international non-profit organization. Role To build awareness of Translators without Borders (www.translatorswithoutborders.org) and the organization’s work to increase access to critical information and knowledge by providing translations to local languages globally. Responsibilities* Assist program director with marketing initiatives Assist program director in creating specific messaging for non-profit organizations and partners Use social media to build brand awareness globally Work with TWB volunteers to build awareness among international NGOs with operations in Kenya Write press releases on awareness topics; assist in dissemination Create or update material for outreach activities and events *These responsibilities are approximate and may vary over the six-month internship. Required skills Analytical thinker able to transform ideas into tangible actions Excellent level of written English Strong writing skills Experience with and good command of social media channels and willingness to use channels to spread awareness Highly organized A self-starter, able to focus while working independently Design and/or DTP skills a plus A demonstrated interest in international development issues desirable Most importantly the chosen candidate will have an interest in helping us meet our mission to use language to eliminate barriers to knowledge. The internship is six months in length and should begin during March 2016. Location is flexible. Translators without Borders does not have a physical office. The internship is paid at USD400 per month; the intern should consider the position full time.
