Evaluation: There will be two “hour” exams worth 100 points each and a Final Exam worth 150 points.
All exams will have material from lecture and laboratory. Approximately one-third of the Final Exam will
assess laboratory material and one-third of the total Final Exam will assess lecture and laboratory material
prior to Exam II. In addition there will be a 10-point quiz in each lab after the first week over both lecture
and laboratory information. Your lowest two quiz scores will be dropped for a total possible 100 quiz
points. Quizzes will be given at the beginning of each laboratory period and cannot be made up. Don’t be
late! The total possible points for the course equals 450 points. Your final grade will be based on the
percentage of these points you earn, e.g., 383 points ÷ 450 = 85% = B.
Attendance Policy: “All students are required to attend, at a minimum, 75% of the meetings of every class
in which they are enrolled. Individual faculty may set more stringent attendance policies. Failure to meet
minimum attendance requirements will result in a failing grade. Students are expected to arrive for class on
time. Students are expected to provide adequate notification of expected absences, and to make up missed
work or examinations according to the faculty member’s criteria.”
Accommodations of Special Needs: “Faculty at Huntingdon College make every effort to accommodate
unique and special needs of students with respect to speech, hearing, vision, seating, or other possible
adaptions. Please notify the Disability Services Intake Coordinator, Ms. Camilla Irvin, as soon as possible
of requested accommodations.”
