This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced learning technologist / instructional designer to join a busy and creative team based in Leeds. Job Advert Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) you will be responsible for designing and building interactive and engaging e-learning resources which will be accessed by a wide range of students studying online degree programmes all over the world. This work will include creating visual content to animate audio provided by SMEs. This is a creative and varied role where you will be encouraged to contribute recommendations for content development and improvements to all areas of learning technology. The role will also provide technical support required to maintain and support the Learning Technology Team. You will have experience working closely with SMEs to design and build e-learning resources. You should be familiar with a range of rapid authoring tools including (but not limited to) Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Techsmith Camtasia etc. You should be able to use rapid authoring tools to produce content that follows a strong pedagogy and is visually appealing. This role is based in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The candidate should and be able to work to deadlines whilst still producing high quality content. The role would suit someone working as an e-learning designer, instructional designer or learning technologist. Essential Skills/Experience: Experience of creating interactive resources for e-learning courses Exceptional written English including grammar and spelling and good verbal communication skills An eye for good aesthetic design Previous exposure to rapid authoring and AV tools used to create online learning resources (eg. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Techsmith Camtasia) Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to take appropriate initiative, manage multiple tasks, establish work priorities, and balance competing priorities and deadlines Solid problem-solving skills and results oriented to identify and resolve existing or potential problems Excellent accuracy and attention to detail A willingness to learn other e-media packages and introduce into the department.
