Prof. King Lun YEUNG Biography: Research Interest: The aim of Prof. Yeung’s research is to develop a rational design strategy for advanced engineering materials based on the understanding of molecular-level processes that govern the synthesis and performance of these materials. His current research efforts are focused in three general areas. Advanced material synthesis of nanostructured and nanoporous materials for chemical, environmental and biological applications. Process miniaturization related to chemical production and energy generation including microreactors, microseparators, fuel microconverter and microfuel cell. Heterogeneous catalysis and surface science for advancement of green chemistry and affordable environmental catalysis. Professional Experience: 1988 Summa Cum Laude, B.S., De La Salle University, Phil., Chemical Engineering 1990 M.S., University of Notre Dame, USA, Chemical Engineering 1993 Ph.D., University of Notre Dame, USA, Chemical Engineering Honors and Awards: 2001 Recipient of CASA/SME 2001 University Lead Award 1999 Honorary Lecturer, University College, London, UK
