Description
Graduates of this 2-year diploma acquire the specialized knowledge and competencies comprising
the scope of dental technology practice. This program is based on the College of Dental Technicians
of BC (CDTBC) required standards of competency for entry to the Dental Technology profession.
Admission Requirements






Grade 12 graduation
English proficiency requirement:
- English 12 with a C+ or higher, or
- IELTS 6.5 (With no band less than 6.0), or
- TOEFL 80 (Listening 20, Speaking 20, Reading 20, Writing 20)
Human Biology 12 with a C+ or higher
One of Chem 11, Math 11 or Physics 11, with C+ or higher
Submit evaluation reports from ICES (International Credential Evaluation Services), if applicable

Admission for this program is every other even-numbered year (i.e. 2014, 2016, 2018)
Competitive Selection Basis
All qualified candidates are required to take a manual Dexterity Test*.
Seats are offered** to qualified applicants with highest scores.
*Students must be in Vancouver with a valid study permit to participate in this test.

Graduates of the program are eligible to sit the College of Denturist Licensing Examination after
completing the work experience following the two-year-in-school program. Graduates are able to
provide complete and partial denture treatment that meets the technical, anatomical, biological and
physiological needs of the edentulous and semi edentulous patient.
