Leone Yanez Part One Goal/objectives: Overarching Goal: After completing the e-learning course through Blackboard University employees will be able to fill out the proper paper needed to submit to Records Management for storage of state documents. Plan of action: Through the use of Blackboard the learner will have access to Blackboard, the learner will enter his or her ID and a password as required when entering Blackboard. Each section will have a step by step of instruction for the learner to follow through the course and a ten minute video too watch for each form required to submit to Records Management. The step by step instructions will be given as a PDF file where the learner can download or save to his or her desktop as the learner goes through each section. The video will be recorded by using Camtasia, first the files to be recorded will first be created by using Microsoft Powerpoint. The slides will then be converted to PNG file then uploaded to Camtasia where the video will be recorded. The type of instructional strategies I plan to take is an approach of having the learner engage through the use of step by step instructions and videos for the purpose of having the learner retain the newly required information and the newly acquired skills by Summarizing Strategies. The purpose is to retain the newly acquired skills and moving skills learned into longterm memory. There are three the democratic, the cybernetic and perspective, the most suited for this type training would fall under the Prescriptive the learner will receive the information, the skills and master those skill for the purpose of submitting forms to Records Management. The only thing so far that I can see as weakness is Blackboard the learning environment, getting used to a new concept of learning the in and outs of Blackboard might be a little bit difficult. Employees might night have the time allocated to finish the course with so much going on in their office that is another possible weakness. Deliverables: The course will be developed by using Blackboard through UTB main Server, University employees and staff members will have full access to the course 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Each course will cover the basics on Records Management forms and will allow employees and staff members to get more familiarized with Records Management Procedures and the laws that govern state records. On the left hand side of Blackboard there will be five buttons where employees can navigate through the course. Each section will cover a certain area of the training from step by step instructions,a video and an assessment at the end of each course taken. At end the of the course there will be a Q&A for any questions for employees and staff members to submit. The First navigation button will introduce learners to Records Management. This section will also cover the Course Overview , the instructor information , Course Description, material required , Grading Scale, and Assignment Weights. The Second navigation button will have the Course Announcements. The Third navigation button will cover the Records of Inventory Worksheet, Records Retention Schedule, Request for Authority to Dispose of State Records, Records Disposition Log, and the Work Order. Each of the mentioned will have a folder of its own with step by step set of instructions, a link to a short video. Also included in each of the folders will have set of instructions explaining the assessment and the grade they must achieve for a passing grade at the end course section and a link to an assessment. The Fourth navigation button will a Q&A for learners to ask and answers question other learners might have throughout the course. The Fifth navigation button will have the learners grades as the learner take the assessment for each of the topics covered. The learners will automatically be able to view their grades.
