Between us, we will be getting across the message that many of us can do something about our bills, by helping people to find out: How to make the best use of their energy If there are grants to help them cut their bills So people can find a way through the energy maze, CAB, Community Transport, the local village agents, BDVSA and the local foodbanks will help distribute information sheets and booklets across the district, between 27th – 31st January. The booklets are full of bright ideas that people can follow up, and useful tips, such as the Energy Savings Trust’s idea of doing a home energy check to find out how to save up to £250 a year on bills. There will also be a public event to advertise the Week, in Braintree town centre, on 29th January. To learn more, contact the CAB (admin.office@bhwcab.org.uk) or the Energy Saving Advice Service’s website CSS Charitable Trust A reminder that the deadline for applications to the CSS Charitable Trust fund is 31 January.
