The Joey Clubs offer exceptional education and care for children within a safe and nurturing learning environment. Below you will find answers to some of the questions most frequently asked by parents. For further information, contact your nearest Joey Club. The centres provide long day care from Monday to Friday and are open for up to 12 hours during the normal business day. The centres are managed by KU Children’s Services, one of Australia’s leading providers of high quality early childhood education. The KU Difference Educating and caring for young children is a highly specialised role, requiring a unique combination of qualifications, experience and a passion for enriching children’s lives. With this in mind, Qantas selected KU Children’s Services as its child care partner. As a not-for-profit organisation, KU ensures that all fees, funding and resources are directed towards delivering affordable, high quality service within each of its centres. KU has over 100 years experience as a leader in early childhood education. This wealth of knowledge has been incorporated into the design of each of the Joey Clubs and is reflected in the program that is taught at the centres every day. Each of the centres provides a play based learning program, based on children’s individual strengths and interests, and designed to develop a wide range of skills including curiosity, creativity, decision making, exploration, language and self-expression. The centres are staffed by qualified and experienced early childhood educators, with university qualified teachers. All of the Joey Clubs are purpose built to the highest standards and include indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging children to explore and learn within a bright and spacious environment. Personalised documentation is maintained for each child, reflecting their individual learning and development. Observations are documented regularly, allowing the staff to make evaluations and adjust the program for each child’s emergent needs and interests. All of the Joey Clubs operate an ‘open door’ policy and parents and family members are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s development and the program that is taught at the centre. Parents will also receive regular newsletters and are welcome to attend a range of parent information sessions held at the Joey Clubs. What age children do the Joey Clubs cater for?
