Examples of best practice and education strategies will be shared. Robyn Evans and Jane Barrett, WWILD-SVP, will present the evaluation of their recent project ‘You and Me Group’ which supported a group of women to develop their understanding and skills around different types of relationships. WWILD-SVP Association & Community Living Association present: Guest Speakers: Jodie Cook—Public Advocate (Queensland) Jodie Cook was appointed as the Public Advocate for Queensland in August 2012. With a background in Psychology and 18 years experience in disability services, Jodie is committed to driving change that upholds human rights and contributes to a strong and sustainable human services sector. Jodie began her career with eight years in front-line service delivery and, having subsequently worked in a variety of Government and nonGovernment leadership roles, has extensive experience in policy development, project management, program design and practice improvement. Georgina Livingstone – Education Coordinator, Disability. Georgina has a background in social work and has over 15 years experience in the human service sector. In her role with FPQ she develops innovative service delivery responses, professional development and resources about sexual health and behaviour support for people with a disability. A key component of her role is to coordinate FPQ’s state-wide team to provide disability education services and workforce development. Robyn Evans—Counsellor - WWILD-SVP Assn. Inc. Robyn has worked in welfare services for 20 years, in child sexual assault work and also in Aboriginal affairs, before coming to WWILD in 2012. She has qualifications in Women’s Studies, Counselling and Social Work. Robyn has had extensive experience delivering relationships and sex education to children and young people. Jane Barrett—Victim of Crime Support Worker—WWILD-SVP Assn. Inc. Jane has a degree in Social Work, and is a Victim of Crime Support Worker at WWILD. Jane has worked alongside Robyn Evans to develop and facilitate the You and Me group.
