Millersville University of Pennsylvania Crime Rates and Statistics
This report, prepared by the Millersville University Police, is published in compliance with Pennsylvania Act 1988-73, the
College and Security Information Act. The crime rate is computed as follows: the number of crimes in each category is
divided by the gross number of full-time equivalent (FTE) students and employees. For example, in 2011, the University
had 8,414 FTE students, employees, and 5 known burglaries. To calculate the crime rate: 5 burglaries for 8,414 FTE=
.00052 burglaries per FTE.

No crimes were reported to the University Police Department from any off campus training facility utilized by the University.
In 2011Millersville University acquired property located at 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster City for graduate studies. The property was formally
named The Ware Center and a complete report Clery Annual report can be view at http://www.millersville.edu/police/police/stats.php
Starting in 2005 all burglaries comply with the Clery definition.
Each crime rate year is calculated from January 1st to December 31st.
