Its readers were familiar with the Old Testament but not very confident of their position in Christ. Some were professors but not yet possessors of faith. Some had back-slided while others wanted to return to Judaism to escape increasing persecution. How does the book of Hebrews settle the finality of Christianity and its superiority to all other religions? What does it mean to us that Christ is the final revelation of God and the mediator of a superior new covenant between God and man? Overcoming any ignorance or lingering doubt, may we come away able to proclaim, “But we see Jesus the Author and Perfecter of our faith!” 6 Oct: 13 Oct: 20 Oct: 27 Oct: 3 Nov: Superior Revelation and Messenger Superior Priest Superior Mediator Starter and Perfecter of our faith Same, yesterday, today and forever Melville Szto Melville Szto Melville Szto Raymond Cheah Melville Szto It is our privilege to honour them yearly!
