POWERPLAY OUTPLAY YOUR FEARS RETAIL PROMOTION 2015 COMPETITION RULES 1 JUNE – 31 DECEMBER 2015 1. 2. This Promotional Competition ("Competition") is organised by Coca‐Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited and ThirtyFour Degrees South Marketing (collectively “Promoters”). The Competition is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 years in possession of a valid South African Identity Document, and a valid South African mobile number, except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‐Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies ("Disqualified Persons"). 3. By entering the Competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules which will be interpreted by the Promoters, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter’s reserve the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoters reasonably deem necessary. The Promoters shall endeavor to give prior notice of such termination or alternation to consumers. In such event, participants without vested rights will have no recourse or claim against the Promoters for a prize. 4. The Competition commences on 1 June 2015 and ends at midnight on 31 December 2015 (both days inclusive). 5. Prizes: 5.1 Winner Conditions All prizes may be subject to tax deductions specific to the laws, it is the prize winner’s responsibility to make the necessary disclosures to the relevant revenue/tax authority and the prize winner’s hereby indemnify the Promoters against any liability in this regard. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, corrupted or delayed as a result of any network, hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. 5.2 Airtime Prize All participants stand a chance of winning R10 (ten rand) or R5 (five rand) airtime per participant per entry across various networks ("Airtime Prize(s)"), from a total estimated pool of R400,000 (four hundred thousand rand) subject to the conditions below: o Participants who have pre‐paid contracts will be able to load the Airtime Prize(s) onto their cellular phones; however o Participants who have monthly, post‐payment contracts cannot redeem the Airtime Prize(s) but are able to transfer the Airtime Prize(s) to another number in the same cellular network provided that other number is subject to a pre‐paid contract; and The number of Airtime Prize winners per month for the duration of the Competition will be proportionate to the number of entries received. 5.3 Merchandise Prize There are a total of 1,800 (one thousand eight hundred) merchandise prizes (“Merchandise Prizes”) in the prize pool to be won. All participants stand a chance of winning up to 6 (six) Merchandise Prizes for the duration of the Competition. The Merchandise Prizes are split into 600 (six hundred) caps from 2Bop, 600 (six hundred) sweaters/hoodies from GALXBOY and 600 (six hundred) t‐shirts from Thesis and will be awarded to consumers via a monthly audited random draw for the duration of the Competition (7 draws in total). The number of Merchandise Prize winners per month for the duration of the Competition will be proportionate to the number of entries received. During the first 3 (three) months of the Competition, Merchandise Prizes will be brand specific with a different brand dedicated to 1 (one) month. After the first 3 (three) months, all 3 (three) brands will be part of the same prize pool and will be awarded collectively via monthy audited random draws. Merchandise Prizes must be couriered within 21 (twenty‐one) working days. 5.4 6. Cash Prize There is a total of R350,000 (three‐hundred and fifty‐thousand rand), which will be awarded to 7 (seven) winners at R50,000 (fifty‐thousand rand) in cash through an audited random draw nationwide (“Grand Prize”). Participants, stand a chance of winning 1 (one) of these Grand Prizes per household. Winners will be drawn at the end of every month for the 7 (seven) month duration of the Competition (1 June 2015 to 31 December 2015). To stand a chance of winning the Grand Prize, participants must, in addition to the requirements set out in clause 2 above, have a valid South African bank account. The Grand Prize will reflect in the winner’s account at least 3 (three) business days after payment has been made. Grand Prize winners will be contacted telephonically within 3 (three) business days of the draw on the entering mobile phone number. If the Grand Prize winner cannot be reached by the Promoters after 3 (three) attempts, such participant shall be disqualified and the Promoters’ reserve the right to re‐draw a new winner under the same terms and conditions as the first draw. To stand a chance of winning any of the Grand Prizes, Merchandise Prizes or Airtime Prizes participants must purchase any participating PowerPlay product (“Participating Product”). The participant must then complete the following step by step entry mechanic: 6.1 Look under the Participating Product ring pull, for a 13 (thirteen) digit unique code ("Code"); 6.2 Dial *120*5010# at a cost of 20c (twenty cents) for every 20 (twenty) seconds (Free minutes and SMS bundles do not apply); 6.3 Follow the text prompt and confirm that they qualify to enter the Competition; 6.4 Participants will be instantly notified in the event that they are the winner of an Airtime Prize and will automatically go into an audited draw for Merchandise prizes; 6.5 Only those participants that correctly answer the question to ‘Outplay their Fears’ during the USSD string will be entered into a random audited draw for the Grand Prize. 7. 8. Participants whose entries have been drawn will be notified telephonically within one week from the draw date. In order for a particular entry to be confirmed as valid, Promoters will call the possible winners and conduct a Competition verification process. Participants, who are possible winners, will be contacted by the Promoters or an agent thereof on the cell phone number used to enter the Competition. Participants must meet the requirements set out in clause 2 above, and clause 5.4 for the Grand Prize, at the time of the call in order to qualify to be a winner, failing which the Promoters shall randomly draw another entry. Participants are allowed to have unlimited entries during the Competition period, provided they purchase the Participating Products each time, and follow the entry mechanics set out in clause 6 above. 9. Participants who entered a Coca‐Cola competition and won a “Grand Prize” in the last 6 (six) months, will not be able to win a Grand Prize again and will be disqualified. 10. The prize winners, whose entries has been drawn and have been confirmed as valid, will be notified telephonically as to when and how they will receive the Prizes. 11. Entries which are unclear, illegible, contain errors or are from Disqualified Persons will be declared invalid. The Promoters may refuse to award any prize if any information or any irregularities or fraudulent activities are detected. 12. If the participant drawn as a prize winner does not qualify or fails to comply, such participant will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place in the same manner as the first draw. 13. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash and the Promoters are not liable for any defect in the Prizes. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value. 14. Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of these rules, the Promoters' decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into. 15. All Participants and the Winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‐ Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies, employees and directors against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever, including claims for loss, damage, injury or death, arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of gross negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters, the participant and/or use of the Prizes). 16. The Promoters will require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert to the Promoters. 17. The Promoters may require that the winners be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Prize and/or after having received their Prize. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoters marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition. Nothing in these rules shall preclude the Promoters from announcing a winner of this Competition for related promotional purposes. 18. By entering, a participant acknowledges that personal information about prize winners will be shared with the the Promoters agents to the extent necessary for prizes to be delivered to prize winners. 19. All personal information relating to the participants will be used solely in accordance with South African consumer and data protection legislation. 20.
