REBECCA G. MOTT EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE STRENGTHS Lane 555 Jin Feng Lu, Minhang District, Shanghai, China Home – (86-21) 2201-0552 Cell – (86) 1381-766-0475 FAX – (86-21) 6221-2060 e-mail – tbmott@gmail.com Throughout my career I have served students from Kindergarten to fifth grade in various capacities. I began my career as a bilingual third/fourth grade teacher in California. Shortly thereafter I moved into the lower grades where I spent the next five years teaching Kindergarten and first grade. It was during this time that I truly learned how to teach the core subjects through individualized and small group instruction by utilizing learning centers, Reader’s and Writer’s workshop, and daily parent volunteers. I have served as a support teacher for ten of the last twelve years. During that time, I was given the opportunity to develop and implement Seoul Foreign School’s first-ever Learning Support Program in which I worked on a daily basis with small groups of students from Kindergarten to fifth grade both within the regular classroom and on a pull-out basis. I continued that work at Nido de Aguilas for one year before moving back into the grade 1 classroom. Then when we moved to Shanghai, I began as an EAL teacher supporting students with language acquisition for four years before moving back into Academic Support. While each position has been slightly different, I have consistently collaborated with my colleagues to provide the best possible learning opportunities for our students. Based upon my varied experiences, I am confident in my abilities to serve the needs of all elementary students.
