Faces in the Crowd
In 1977, JoAnn’s career began with First
Wisconsin Trust. She enjoyed a fabulous 15year career in the Trust Department. Her
former colleagues described her as the go-to
expert, saying, “No challenge was too great
for her.” She is grateful to have had the
opportunity to create wonderful memories
and close friends during her career.
JoAnn Klotzbuecher and Ed
Klotzbuecher were honored at the
Milwaukee Alumni Event on May 18,
2011. This remarkable U.S. Bank
couple grew up right here in Wisconsin
where they were the best of friends,
attending the same schools and sharing
the same classmates. After graduating
from high school, they went their
separate ways. Ed joined the Air Force
and JoAnn attended Marquette
University. Before long, their paths
crossed again and they were married on
Valentine’s Day in 1953.
Today, JoAnn and Ed have embraced
retirement. They have celebrated over 58
years of marriage and are very proud of their
three children and four grandchildren.
In their spare time, they love to play golf,
bowl, work crossword puzzles, spend time in
the garden and travel. JoAnn and Ed are both
huge Packers fans that have enjoyed
watching the football greats like Bart Starr,
Paul Hornung, Elijah Pitts and Brett Favre
over the years.
Ed began his banking career in 1957 at
First Wisconsin in the Income Tax
Department. As his 35-year career
progressed, he worked in various roles
including vice president of Trust. Ed is
proud to have worked for the bank and
credits his own success to the incredible
people he worked with. He cites his
biggest career achievements as
mentoring other employees and leading
a design team in the successful
development of a new trust package. He
still keeps in touch with many former
colleagues and especially loves
catching up with everyone at the Alumni
events.
Thank you, JoAnn and Ed for your years of
dedication and service.

Employees getting green with US
U.S. Bank has about 30
green teams that initiate
local projects and activities for
employees. Some projects focus on
ways to conserve resources within the
business line, while others focus more
on helping out in the community or
educating employees on how to live a
greener lifestyle. These teams have
been excellent partners for
Environmental Affairs in carrying out
U.S. Bank's green initiative. Examples
of projects include:
• cleaning up trash through the
Adopt-a-Highway program and
other community beautification
efforts;
• collecting items for tornado
victims and local schools;
• establishing recycling efforts at
U.S. Bank buildings where
recycling is not available; and
• hosting green educational
events.
For more information on U.S. Bank’s
green teams, or for a list of team
locations, email Environmental Affairs at
environmentalaffairs@usbank.com.
