Participants in this year’s Faith Walk will have the opportunity to
hear from and talk with exceptional artists, musicians, and writers
about the connection between their Christian faith and art, while
getting a taste of some of the wonderful and unique art and architecture
in and around St. Louis. It promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience
that shows how God is at work in all the arts of His creation.
“O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder consider all the
works Thy hand hath made…” begins the old favorite hymn,
“How Great Thou Art.” The mighty thunder, the forest glades,
the gentle breeze … it is easy to get caught up in the greatness of
God’s creation in nature. But God also is at work in the creations
made by other hands, and how great their “art” is.

Rev. David Meggers and
his wife, Jeanette, have been
serving the Lutheran and local
communities for many years.
Rev. Meggers is associate pastor
at Concordia Lutheran Church,
Kirkwood, Mo. Before attending
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis,
he taught at Lutheran schools in
Green Bay, Wis., and Norwood
Young America, Minn. After
graduating from the Seminary,
the LCMS Northern Illinois District called David to plant Christ the Rock
Lutheran Church in Rockford, Ill. David and Jeanette served the congregation
for 23 years, until they accepted the call to Concordia, Kirkwood.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Jeanette began working in property management after David graduated from
the Seminary. She transitioned to real estate 17 years ago and has built a career
in that industry. Jeanette serves at present with Keller Williams Realty, working
from the Sunset Hills, Mo., office.
David and Jeanette have been married 39 years and have two children, Kristina
and Philip. Philip teaches math and physics at Concordia Lutheran High School
in Omaha, Neb., and Kristina serves as a deaconess at Salem Lutheran Church,
Affton, Mo. Kristina’s husband, Nate, is a graphic designer with Concordia Publishing
House in St. Louis. They have one grandson, and another is due in December.
The Meggers enjoy boating, comedy, short-term mission trips, traveling and the
St. Louis Cardinals, Minnesota Twins, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings!
