3 boxes of regular sized Crayola Brand Crayons in a variety of colors
no more than a 16 count box. (Please put your child’s name on them.
The second box will be used to replace your child’s broken crayons.
The third box will be given to your child mid-year.


1 bottle of Elmer’s School Glue

1 pair of child safety scissors

1 package of stickers (age appropriate, please)

Please DO NOT WRITE NAMES ON PENCILS as they become part of the general classroom supply
for all students to share.
* Over the summer, please review letter names and letter sounds. Please help your child to count out
small objects, like buttons, cereal, toys, etc. Roll 1 die or 2 dice and have them count the dots. This will
help with number recognition.
* Please encourage your child to hold a pen or pencil properly. They should have only their thumb and
pointer finger holding the pencil with the remaining 3 fingers curled underneath.
* While driving in the car, you can help to spark your child’s creativity by starting to tell a story and
encouraging your child to finish the story. Soon they will be able to create stories of their own. This is
essential when we are writing stories in Language Arts.
