School Supplies List for Kindergarten
Welcome to Hannah Cole Primary! The following is a list of supplies your
kindergarten child will need for school. It is important that each child learns how to use
these supplies, and that he/she has the same supplies available at home. Have an
enjoyable experience with your child as you purchase these items!
All classroom teachers will require all these supplies and some teachers may ask
that you provide additional items:

Crayons (Crayola brand only) 4 packages of 24 classic, true, “Basic Colors” – not neon or
pastel

Washable Markers (Crayola brand only) 2 boxes of 8 “Classic Colors” – not slim

Pencils (At least 12 #2 – regular size)

Elmer’s Glue Sticks School Glue (will need at least 20)

Tissues (1 large, 175 – 200 count) Generic brands are fine

School Box “8 x 4”

Book Bag or Backpack 12” X 15” (large enough to accommodate a folder) Try
to avoid drawstring styles and please no wheels.

Clorox Wipes - 3

2 Brad Folder with pockets (1-red, 1 blue)

Eraser (2 large pink)

Scissors (Fiskar, child size)

4 thin EXPO Black Dry Erase Markers

1 Box Colored Pencils

All children should wear soft-soled shoes and socks every day for safety reasons.
All supplies should be brought to school the night of open house in August. Supplies may
be put away and pencils sharpened at that time. It is important to have your child’s name on
his/her backpack. Backpacks are often left in the gym or on the bus and with so many children
choosing identical backpacks it is difficult to find the owner.

2 – packages pencil top erasers (30 ct.)
5 – Black & White composition notebooks – wide ruled
1 – box colored pencils (12 ct.)
1 – pack Highlighters (4 colors)
1 – box Markers (10 count)
3 – box Clorox wipes
1 – pack paper plates or paper towels
1 – backpack
Supplies will be collected at the beginning of the school year and passed out to students
when needed. For example, we pass out a new box of crayons each quarter and replace
yellow homework folders as needed.
Please have child’s name on the yellow 2-pocket folders, crayon boxes, colored pencil box,
marker box, Elmer’s glue, composition notebooks and scissors. This will make putting
supplies away at the Open House go much quicker. 
NOTE: No Trapper Keepers, binders, or supply boxes of any type please. They will not be
used, do not fit in the cubbies, and will be sent home.
We would appreciate if you would not deviate from the above list.
