10/12/2015 MLTA Study Guide Updated 10/28/2013 The Resident Agent Examination for Title Insurance consists of 60 to 65 multiple choice questions covering topics and regulations set forth on the Michigan Title Insurance Content Outline. The Content Outline indicates the approximate number of questions that will appear on the examination for each general topic. It also provides references for reviewing specific topics. This Study Guide is intended to supplement the references noted on the outline. State Web Site – Licensing & Exam Information In a few days you will receive your State of Michigan License - Title Insurance Producer Once your License is received – You should make a copy for your Human Resources file Make a copy for your Title Agents’ - ALTA Best Practices binder Work with your Title Agency to be appointed to all current Underwriters of the Title Agency Do this by emailing the appropriate contact at each Underwriter. Your Title Agency should fill out DFIS’s form “Insurance Business Entity Affiliate Disclosure” - form (FIS 0200). All Licensed Employees that are Licensed, MUST be affiliated under the Agency license 6
