EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE
Work Performance Standards
Some wWork performance standards are written statements of the results and/or behavior expected of
an employee when his or her job elements are satisfactorily performed under existing working
conditions. Each employee in a permanent position must be provided with a current set of work
performance standards for his or her position.
Employment Records
Your personnel file is maintained in the human resources department at the main office of Northland
Security Systems. The human resources department maintains a file with copies of the documentation in
your specific department. Your file includes personnel action documents, mandatory employment
forms, your performance evaluations, and documentation of disciplinary action. Your file may include
letters of commendation, training certificates, or other work-related documents that your supervisor
has requested to be included in your file.
Performance Evaluation
If you are serving a six-month (full-time equivalent) probationary period, your supervisor will evaluate
your performance at the end of the second and fifth months. If you are completing a one-year
probationary period, your evaluations will be conducted at the end of the third, seventh, and eleventh
month. You will receive a copy of each performance report. Once you have attained permanent
employee status, your performance will be evaluated annually during the month prior to your pay
progression date. Each evaluation will include a discussion between you and your supervisor to review
and clarify goals and methods to achieve them. The evaluation will also include a written report of your
progress on the job. Evaluations will be made with reference to established work performance
standards.
