By Isabella Reynaga My first concert ever was to a Justin Bieber in Seattle Everett. It was so much fun but first let‟s start from the morning. It was the morning of July, 13 2010 we had to wait until my mom got home from work in the mean time me, my dad and brother were packing for the trip. Also my mom was going to bring back her friend and her ex boyfriend‟s daughter (they were going to the concert too.) So my mom came home from work about 1:35 pm. After that we were on the road it was really cramped in the truck (oh well) we stopped in Ellensburg Washington to eat. My dad is a really picky eater so we had to eat subway I had the usual and it was yummy I also had a cookie (that was yummy too.) After we were done we got back on the road I kept getting hit in the car because we were playing slug bug I hated it. We saw a lot of signs, Mountains, and cars. The whole way there my brother was annoying he never fell asleep also he was always hungry. The best thing we did the whole way there we listened to Justin Bieber the whole way there. We finally got to Seattle and there were a lot of cars, my dad hated it, there were a lot of people waiting in line just to see Justin before the concert. Justin finally made his entrance you couldn‟t see him but he was there. We made a sign to wave in the audience but the concert was soled out so there were people everywhere so the security guard took it away. We finally got in and it was My Top Ten Play list huge first we sat down the worker their was dumb because we sat By Daylin Mendoza in the wrong spot but at the end we still sat in the wrong spot but I My Top 10 Music Play list will finish that story later. I and my friend sat down and we had to wait because my mom and my friend went to go get popcorn 1. Perfect Two- Auburn (that was too salty) and Pepsi Max also ice cream (that tasted 2. Keri Hilson beautiful then Sean Kingston came out and you already know his 9. The Prayer- Kid Cudi songs are awesome, but their was a guest performer named Iyaz 10. In&Out-Kid Cudi his performance was so much fun. Then finally at 9:00 Justin My First Concert! 1 Bieber came out, his opening song was called Love Me (so far my favorite song plus Somebody To Love.) In the middle of his performance he got in a big heart and sang on top of everyone in the stadium. He sang all of his songs from his album (My World 2.0.)His best performance of the night would have to be Somebody To Love. He climbed a blow-up wall it was so cool. The show was finally over (awwwwwww) on our way to our hotel we saw his tour bus and he waved out side of the window he is so hot close up. That‟s the time I went to my first concert. Mia Hamm Missed and Found -Teresa Zaragoza ~ By Eleaha Olney Mariel Margaret Garicaparra also known as Mia Hamm was the first woman to play soccer! Mia was born March 17, 1972, in ♥I missed you since Selma Alabama. She played as forward many years for the United I’ll miss you now States women‟s National Soccer team. I think Mia Hamm was an extraordinary soccer player! 2 William Howard Taft Teresa Zaragoza William Howard Taft was the 27th president of the United States. He was also the fattest president of the United States! William was born September 15, 1857 and later on died on March 8, 1930. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was in office March 4, 1909 – March 4, 1913. William was in office as president when James S. Sherman was vice president. Yale College Phi Beta Kappa was the college William graduated from in 1878, and in 1880 he also graduated from Cincinnati Law School. He then worked in a number of local legal positions, until he was appointed an Ohio Supreme Court judge in 1887. William was appointed Governor-General of the Philippines by President William McKinley in 1900. President William Howard Taft was appointed many times by other presidents. President William Howard Taft was the fattest president. He weighed 332 pounds. One day William got stuck in the White House bathtub and then he had an oversized version brought in for him. He was the first president to own a car in the White House. On February 14, 1912 Arizona became a state, making William the first president of 48 states! Laurel and Hardy By: Elizabeth Martinez Stan Laurel, born June 19 1890 in Ulverston, England, and Oliver Hardy, born on January 18 1892 in Harlem, Georgia. Were one of the many popular comedic teams during the mid Classical Hollywood era of the American cinema. They were well known for their work in motion pictures. They were also on stage in America and Europe doing their tour. They also sang many songs, mostly for films. Their first film they worked together in was a silent film with the name, “The Lucky Dog.” After a few films together they became a huge success. There most popular films were, “Way out West,” “Big Business,” and more. Especially their Academic-Award-winning short, “The Music Box.” They appeared in almost 106 films. They stopped doing film for a short while and created their stage show tour across England, Ireland, and Scotland. Their partnership began at the Hal Roach studio during 1926. After a year, they were already the best comedic team. As their success went everywhere in the world, they began making more films and won an Oscar for their short film, “The Music Box.” Once they left the Hal Roach studio, they formed their own company even though they were unable to continue the success. Sadly, after their many successful years, Hardy died of a stroke. For the remaining years of his life, Laurel refused to perform, although he contributed his comedic gags to other filmmakers. Sadly, he died to. Even though the years went by, their films are still shown and remembered. Of many comedic teams, they will always be one of the best. 3 BAD DECISIONS by Alexandria Campos You should never try to be in gangs and you should avoid smoking and drinking. Doing those thing can lead you to making bad decisions and some times they may be harmful. I, Alexandria Campos, am going to tell you a few ways to avoid making the bad choices that most kids do. ~ Never be alone while walking somewhere all ways be with a friend or adult that you can trust ~ fallow the rules that are gave to you ~ be responsible and trustworthy ~ Never carry a weapon or anything that can harm you or anyone around you ~ do not join gangs, talk with gang members, or wear gang clothing, and don’t use gang signs and symbols I hope you use these tips and they help you stay out of the problem of making bad decisions. John Adams by Amy Morales John Adams our 2nd President of the United States of America. He was born on October 30, 1826. Died on July 4, 1826. Born on Quincy, Massachusetts to John Adams, Sir and Susanna Boylston. First vice president with George Washington. John nominated George to be commander-in-chief. He had a wife named Abigail Adams who is his third cousin. During his one term he had got ferocious attacks by the Jeffersonian Republicans and his bitter enemy Alexander Hamilton. His son John Quincy Adams was the sixth president. John Adam‟s vice president was Thomas Jefferson who later became the third president. Adams went to Harvard College at age sixteen. His father was a farmer, lieutenant in the militia, and a selectman who supervised schools and roads. His mother was a descendant of the Boylstons of Brookline. John wanted to be a lawyer which he succeeded and joined the bar. His second cousin Samuel Adams was much more popular than himself. John first rose as an opponent of the Stamp Act of 1765. Theodore also known as “Teddy” was born October 27, 1858 in New York, New York. Theodore was part of the Republican political party. He married Alice Hathaway Lee in 1880, and she then died in 1884. Theodore later on got married once again in 1886 to Edith Kermit Carow. He had six children named Alice, Ted, Kermit, Ether, Archie, and Quentin. Theodore was in office from September 14, 1901 through March 4, 1909. The vice president was Charles W. Fairbanks. Claudia Solis is now Manuel Uribe Garza wife they were seeing each other until they got married of 2 years of dating. You wonder how this man gets around town, well he doesn’t. He once went to Italy to get an operation. Manuel eats, sleeps and lives in his bed his mom does every thing she can to make him the happiest man alive by cooking cleaning and entertaining him. 5 CHRIS ROCK BY-JORGE MENDEZ Christopher Julius Rock the third was born February 7, 1965 in south Carolina his mother Rosalie Rock was a teacher and his father Julies Rock was a former truck driver his father died in 1988 a trivial lost for Chris. In fall 2005 Chris premiered a comedy series called Every Body Hates Chris it is about Chris school days he won another two Emmys for the show in 2010 he made two new movies death at a funeral with Martin Lawrence and grown ups with the bad boys of SNL Adam Sandler, David Spade and rob Schneider. Pyramids Amy Morales Hello!! What is a pyramid? Well a pyramid is a HUGE structure where the outer surfaces are triangular and has a point on the top. The bottom of the pyramid is usually a square, but it can be any shape or any kind of a polygon shape. No t all pyramids are like triangular. It can be a different shape like a flat triangle. The largest structures on earth are the Red Pyramid and the Great Pyramid of Khufu both in Egypt. The longest pyramid ever built by volume is the Great Pyramid of Cholula in the state of Puebla in Mexico. Arriba!! Ha-ha-ha! The most famous pyramids are the Egypt ones. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest in Egypt and the world. Its base is over 52,600 square meters. Not just Egypt that has pyramids. Other places have similar things that are pyramids like Sudan, Nigeria, Greece, China, Mesoamerica, North America, Roman Empire, India, Indonesia, and Medieval Europe ha sounds like the place sounds evil. All of these places that have pyramids don‟t look like there pyramids like Egypt. Hey have you seen the Aztecs‟ and Mayans‟ Pyramids. It looks like they have stairs. The Aztecs‟ and Mayans‟ pyramids are in Mexico. Some of the pyramids are still alive I mean exist to this day. Our pyramid has a larger base than the Great Pyramid at Egypt. Yep we have a pyramid to.
