*Dr. Beshir is a leading expert in the area of Islamic parenting and family, and has co-authored several best-selling books on the
subject with his wife, among them: Parenting in the West, Muslim Teens: Today’s Worry, Tomorrow’s Hope, Blissful Marriage, and
Parenting Skills. Some of their books have been translated into several languages. Dr. Beshir has taught many courses on the subject
of parenting in North America. He is a regular contributor to family sections of various Muslim magazines and websites. Dr. Beshir has
conducted thousands of workshops on parenting and marriage throughout the world. He is the recipient of the City of Ottawa Certificate
of Appreciation for 2003 for his volunteer work in the area of Education. He recently founded www.familydawn.com, a comprehensive
family website. His experience on Islamic activity in North America extends over 4 decades. He has held various elected positions with
MSA, ISNA, MAS and MAC.
