2015 AP European History Summer Assignment
Welcome to AP European History at Fountain Valley High School. It is essential that we begin our course over
the summer to provide us with a upper hand on the tested material. Our exam is the 1st Friday in May and
every day we gain now, is an extra day to review or dig deeper into the material. This is a mandatory
assignment for all AP European History Students. If there is a problem in obtaining the materials you must
email or contact Mr. Kral (mkral@hbuhsd.edu) or Mr. Baratti (mbaratti@hbuhsd.edu) before school begins (this
does not mean the night before school starts).
Directions:
1. Go to directory page fvapeuro.webstarts.com to access the downloads under AP European History,
you must do this BEFORE school ends.
2. Part I: Download the Middle Ages Reading and Questions. Read the reading packet and answer the
questions in your own words. Please use complete sentences and hand write your answers.
3. Part II: Download the vocabulary terms. You will be taking a vocabulary examination the first day of
class. A combination of 10 words or definitions will be chosen at random to test your knowledge. This
will be your first grade in the class.
4. Part III: Download the syllabus and readings for chapter 9. Read, answer the questions, and define
terms for section 9.1. This is to be completed by the first day of class.

terms for Section 9.2 and also complete section 9.3 . This is to be completed by the first day of class.
Ch 9 Sections 1,2 ,and 3 are all due on the first day of school, partial completion will result in an F.
Failure to complete the assignment will NOT allow a student to drop from the class. Instead you will start the
class with an F.
