about this union.
To fully appreciate the Maserati automobile, there must be an understanding of its rich racing heritage. Founded by three Italian brothers in 1914, and
rooted in a passion for mechanical precision and speed, the Maserati name
first became well-known in the racing world. Alfieri Maserati provided the
racing prowess, piloting the Tipo Speciale, a specially designed racer from
Italian car maker Isotta Fraschini, for whom Alfieri and brother Bindo were
associated with as testers and designers. In the early 1920s, Alfieri piloted the
4-cylinder, 6.3-liter engine Tipo Speciale to many victories. And as racing
wins piled up, sales increased.

“I’ve raced and won in cars of all makes, but I always had a special
relationship with Maserati,” said Juan Manuel Fangio, famed race car driver. “Not only were the cars safe, reliable, and always absolutely technically
avant-garde, but there was a very special friendship and atmosphere between
myself and Maserati. I felt completely at home.”

Maserati is renowned for its powerful performance, beautiful design, and
prestigious style. The discerning driver can also acquire one at an affordable
price, considering the performance and quality of the Maserati automobile.
The Indianapolis Speedway Museum is 200 miles away. A trip to Bologna,
Italy (hometown to the Maserati brothers) would require a trans-oceanic
flight. Fortunately, Barrington drivers can observe and test-drive these works
of art by visiting the aesthetic Zeigler Maserati showroom in Schaumburg, Ill.

and performance.
Douglass’ first car was a 1976 yellow Camaro, but now he prefers the
Maserati GranTurismo, the first Maserati road car made for serial production. Douglass loves the luxury look of the GranTurismo. “When I get to
show the GT, the customers are more excited than I am.”
