TREK/K•SWISS KICKS
OFF ANOTHER YEAR OF
TRIATHLON DOMINATION
RISING SCOTTISH STAR LESLEY PATERSON JOINS 2011 ROSTER
(Kohala Coast, HI) –Trek/K•Swiss, the world’s most successful
triathlon team, announced at the team’s training camp on
Hawaii’s Kohala Coast that it has added the world’s #2-ranked
Xterra triathlete, Lesley Paterson, to their already-stacked 2011
roster. A constant podium threat on the Xterra circuit, Paterson
is looking to take the next step in her promising career with a
program renowned for its depth and talent.
Unique to the individual nature of the triathlon world, Trek/
K•Swiss is a team comprised of the world’s best athletes that
share in training while supporting each other throughout the
world triathlon calendar. Featuring some of the sport’s top
Ironman, Xterra, 70.3, and Olympic distance threats, the 2011
Trek/K•Swiss roster includes Chris Lieto, Julie Dibens, Joe
Gambles, Fraser Cartmell, Matt Lieto, Paul Matthews, Heather
Jackson, Andrew Yoder, and Lesley Patterson.
“The thing I’m most excited about is Trek’s meticulous
professionalism,” said Paterson. “They have been at the top of
cycling for so long now, how could you not want to be part of
this team? Yes, their precision engineering is a draw, but their
reputation for working with every athlete as an individual, with
individual needs, is something I’m really looking forward to.”
With 23 major triathlon victories around the globe aboard their
team-issue Trek Speed Concept 9.9, Trek/K•Swiss far and away
outperformed any other triathlon program in 2010 and the
team shows no signs of regressing in 2011. The team kicked off
their 2011 training camp February 14, choosing to sweat along
the lava fields of the Hawaiian home of the Ironman World
Championship.
