Biography of Ms Caroline Mak Ms Caroline Mak has been a Director of Dairy Farm Management Services Limited since January 2007. She first joined the Group as CEO of Mannings Hong Kong in January 2000 after six years as Managing Director of IKEA Hong Kong and Taiwan. In February 2007, she was appointed Group Specialty Retail Director responsible for the Group’s private label development as well as IKEA home furnishings business in Hong Kong and Taiwan. On 1st November 2009, she was appointed Regional Director, North Asia overseeing the Group’s retail operations in Hong Kong, Macau, China and Taiwan and acting as an advisor for its health & beauty businesses. Ms Mak’s career spans a number of industries. She is a retail veteran and has spent some 16 years in the cosmetics and home furnishings sectors, holding key positions in L’Oreal and Christian Dior prior to joining the Group. Ms Mak’s successful track record and contributions to the society have won her the Executive Award at the DHL/SCMP Hong Kong Business Awards 2011. In the past decade, Ms Mak has been actively serving the community. The major ones include her chairmanship of Hong Kong Retail Management Association, Vocational Training Council’s Retail Trade Training Board and Qualifications Framework’s Retail Industry Training Advisory Committee, her convenorship for the BFAC Wholesale and Retail Task Force as well as her appointments to the Airport Authority Hong Kong, Minimum Wage Commission, Business Facilitation Advisory Committee (BFAC), Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service, Quality Tourism Services Sub-Committee … etc.
