FLEXIBLE
MRV’s optical platforms offer industry-leading flexibility in shelf variety, hardware configuration,
and service options. With shelves ranging from single-slot demarcation devices to multi-slot
high-density aggregators, MRV has an option to fit any available location. Shelves like the
OptiDriver OD-48 can be flexibly re-configured in-service to support an arbitrary mix of larger
and smaller interfaces depending on network requirements. Interface cards like the DMR10G
support multiple optical rates and service formats as well as a variety service protection options
with the same hardware, greatly reducing capital costs, inventory, and operational complexity.
