zimride.usf.edu.
Do I need a parking permit?
Yes. Parking permits are required to park on the USF Tampa
campus 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
How do I get a parking permit?
Online through my.USF.edu. Use your NetID and password
to log in and access your parking account by clicking on the
“My Resources” tab, then the “Parking Permit” drop down.
How much does a parking permit cost?
Parking permits for on-campus residents (R) are $226.00,
non-resident students (S) are $183.00, and Park-n-Ride
(Y) permits are $59.00 (all plus tax) for the academic
year. Semester permits are also available for fall, spring,
and summer semesters but are not as cost-effective as
purchasing a yearly permit.
Where can I park?
There are designated lots for each type of permit. Resident
parking (R) is located around the residence halls. Nonresident parking (S) is located throughout the campus.
Visit our website to download a map and obtain more
information.
If I can’t find a place to park, what do I do?
Parking lots closest to the buildings fill up first. However
there are multiple lots thoughout campus with your parking
designation. You can also proceed to one of the Park-n-Ride
lots (18 or 43), where parking is often available, and catch
the fare-free Bull Runner to your destination.
What if I have more than one car?
The parking permit is repositionable and may only be
transferred between same-owner vehicles registered with
Parking and Transportation Services (PATS).
What do I do if I forget my permit?
Stop by one of the Parking & Transportation offices, present
your driver’s license, and we will give you a courtesy permit
(up to three per semester) at no charge.
Can I share my permit?
No. Your permit is registered under your name. If you lend
it to anyone and they receive a citation, you are responsible
for all fines.
What do I do if my permit is lost or stolen?
Report it immediately. Visit our office located on USF-Plum
Drive to file a report and obtain a replacement permit for a
small replacement fee.
Are the parking restrictions lifted after 5:00 P.M.?
No. Reserved spaces and Resident lots are restricted 24 hours
per day, 7 days per week. However, after 5:30 P.M. and on
weekends, students displaying an S or R permit may park in
E, GZ, and D designated areas.
What do I do if I get a citation?
Parking citations can be paid online, by mail, or at our
offices. Unpaid citations are assessed a late fee 14 days after
issuance. If you believe that extraordinary or mitigating
circumstances warrant a waiver of the citation, you may
appeal it within 14 days of issuance.
How do I appeal a citation?
Online! Simply access your parking account through
my.USF.edu.
About Residence Hall Parking…
At USF, there is a significant amount of parking located in close
proximity to the residence halls. This parking is reserved 24 hours
per day, 7 days per week for residents with a Resident (R) permit.
One of the benefits of living on campus is that everything is right
outside your door. You never have to drive your car to go across
campus. The Bull Runner stops at each of the resident areas for convenient mobility across campus, and the surrounding off-campus
locations (University Mall, local supermarkets, restaurants, etc.). If
you’re looking for a more economical parking option and you don’t
need your car on a daily basis, you might want to consider a Parkn-Ride (Y) permit. This is the most economical parking option, and
on weekends, you can also park in E, D, GZ and S designated areas.
What happens if I don’t pay my citations?
Late fees are added 14 days after issuance. A hold is also
placed on student records and registration, and all delinquent accounts are turned over to a collection agency. If you
accrue more than two outstanding citations, your vehicle
can be immobilized and/or towed. If you have outstanding
citations when it is time to renew your permit, you must
settle your balance prior to purchasing your permit.
For your convenience and
for fastest service, we urge all
students to purchase a
2015-2016 parking permit online
What do I do if my car has been immobilized?
Contact Parking & Transportation Services immediately.
In order for the boot to be removed you must settle all
outstanding citations as well as any related boot fees.
What does Parking & Transportation Services do
with all the money they collect?
USF uses the money collected for the operation and maintenance of campus parking lots and garages, the fare-free
transit system, bus shelters, campus information center,
complimentary motorist assistance program, and for future
projects.
What is the role of Parking Enforcement?
Parking Enforcement Specialists enforce regulations for
safety, ensure efficient traffic flow, and maintain equitable
access to parking. They also provide jumpstarts for dead
batteries. For after hours emergencies or safety concerns,
contact University Police at (813) 974-2628.
What is the best way to get across campus?
Use the Bull Runner Transit. It’s convenient and easy to
use. The BullTracker™ lets you see the bus location and
when it will arrive at your stop. Set up text alerts to fit your
schedule. Visit: usfbullrunner.com.
