TiCares is the Schneider Electric solution covering the entire healthcare cycle. The components, while perfectly integrated, allow each healthcare process to be modularised independently. Functionally independent, they integrate with all the others, to adapt to the specific needs of each client. TiCares is structured into three levels, each corresponding to a different area of the healthcare process: • The Clinical File Archive, one of more than a dozen TiCares-PAS sub-systems, maintains the clinical information documentation for patients attended at the centre; this documentation is essential for medical intervention. TiCares- PAS (Patient Administration System), covering the administrative level • TiCares-CIS (Clinical Information System), covering the clinical level • TiCares-DIS (Departmental Information Systems), covering the departmental level. TiCares—PAS: Patient Administration System The market is always changing. TiCares-PAS is a series of sub-systems specialised in supplying the information system with all it needs for patient management: affiliation, appointments, location in the centre. This optimises care and the management of available documentation. The solution includes all the administrative functionalities required by hospital health care. TiCares-PAS is structured like a pyramid. On the base is the Activities System. On the first level, the element activity unit consists of the episodes in the Clinical Files, the responsibility of each functional unit. On the second level, these are associated with the requests and prescriptions (sub-episodes) made to secondlevel functional units (centralised or intermediate services). TiCares is fully compatible with international interoperability standards and frameworks, such as HL7, DICOM and IHE. The following information sub-systems are components of TiCares-PAS, as part of a homogenous series of features, functions and appearance: External Consultations The Schneider Electric global solution to link patient appointment services with consultations at the centre. It includes agenda administration and the management of appointments, waiting lists, recitals, activity management and sending letters. Modification and cancellation of appointments, inclusion of urgent cases without appointment and confirmation of attendance. Diagnostic Tests Information system to manage requests for tests, on demand or to a fixed schedule. The tests will be associated with the corresponding care. The appointment for tests function is similar to that of the “External Consultation” sub-system. The activity may also be managed from the point of view of the diagnostic service. Rehabilitation This Schneider Electric information sub-system makes it possible to take into account the peculiarities of the rehabilitation service with regard to conventional schedules, including staff schedules and material resources as well as the rehabilitation therapy cycle. Acute Hospitalization Pre-admission and admission, transfers and discharge. Includes the corresponding lists and statistics for ease of management. Day Hospitalization This Schneider Electric solution is very similar to “Acute Hospitalization”. It concentrates on the peculiarities of this type of hospital admission, differentiating it from the former medical or surgical admission. TiCares—PAS | 05 TiCares—PAS A&E The Schneider Electric A&E sub-system allows for the management of patients in this hospital area, triage and allocation to the corresponding observation units, as the case may be. It also includes administrative admission for possible hospitalization. Home Healthcare The Schneider Electric global solution for managing patient home care. Different schedules can be programmed (physician, nurses, etc.) to process requests and to manage appointments for patients needing this type of care. Surgery Waiting List This information sub-system is the Schneider Electric solution for logging surgery demand, including the relevant data on patients requiring surgery. In addition to inclusions and cancellations from the Log, it also manages status changes (passive, active, historic) and the control of reservations. It has an extensive range of inclusion search criteria. Surgery Management Administration and management of surgical operations is another critical activity for healthcare centres. Together with “Surgery Waiting List” this Schneider Electric sub-system covers all aspects of surgery management. The basic functionalities supported by this solution are surgery programming, reservations, schedule management, operation management including the filling out of reports, and information on performance and availability. Clinical File Archive This Schneider Electric sub-system maintains the Clinical File documentation which makes up the physical support containing clinical information on patients attended at the centre. This documentation is essential for medical intervention. As part of the management operations provided, this sub-system has several functionalities for logging incoming/outgoing documentation and controlling the location of files. In addition to traditional incoming/outgoing, files may be delivered in accordance with future appointments and admissions. Other functions: debugging and merging of duplicate files, specifying decease when applicable, logging losses, reclaiming files after use, assigning file numbers. MDBS Coding The Schneider Electric Global Solution (Minimum Database Series) that manages and provides information on hospital admission as required by the health authorities for each patient, their environment, the institution taking responsibility for the patient and the healthcare services rendered. 06 | TiCares—PAS TiCares—PAS The aim of this application is to prepare all this information, concentrating mainly on the coding of procedures and diagnoses, and allowing it to be exported in the required format.
