Biography Prof. Dr.‐Ing. Martin Schneider Dr. Schneider received his Diploma and Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the University of Hannover, Germany, in 1992 and 1997, respectively. From 1997 to 1999, he was with Bosch Telecom GmbH in Backnang, Germany, where he developed microwave components for point‐to‐point and point‐to‐multipoint radio link systems. In November 1999, he joined the Corporate Research and Advanced Development division of Robert Bosch GmbH in Hildesheim, Germany. As a project and section manager of the “Wireless Systems” group he focused on research and development of phased array and smart antenna concepts for automotive radar sensors at 24 and 77 GHz. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Schneider was with the business unit “Automotive Electronics – Driver Assistance” of Robert Bosch GmbH in Leonberg, Germany. As a section manager he was responsible for the “RF Electronics and Mechanical Car Integration” group for automotive radar sensors. Since March 2006, he has been a full professor and head of the RF & Microwave Engineering Laboratory at the University of Bremen, Germany. His research topics are RF front end circuits, millimeter wave circuits, and antenna systems at microwave and millimeter wave frequencies up to 170 GHz. Dr. Schneider is a member of IEEE, VDE, and VDI.
