November 23, 2015 - Announcing the winner of DEMA drawing for JW Fishers Pulse 8X underwater metal detector For the first time in the 34 years JW Fishers has been attending the DEMA Show, the company held a drawing and gave away one of their top-performing Pulse 8X underwater metal detectors. This detector is in use by law enforcement agencies and military units worldwide, as well as commercial and recreational divers everywhere. It is the #1 rated underwater metal detector by US Department of Homeland Security receiving the highest marks in Capability, Deploy-ability, Maintainability and Usability. The winner of the drawing was Randy Kraft, owner of Scuba One Dive Store in Mandan, North Dakota. Randy has been a JW Fishers authorized dealer since 2007 and has provided Pulse 8X detectors to several area public safety dive teams. His most recent purchase was a JW Fishers DV-1 drop video system for the Morton County Dive Rescue team. Scuba One is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center. Founder, Randy Kraft, began diving in the late 1970's and was an active member of the Minnesota Frogmen, Minnesota's oldest dive club. He performed search & rescue dives for drowning victims, raised sunken boats, and became a PADI Divemaster. In 1982, Randy completed the 10week instructor program at PADI College in San Diego, California. He moved back to Bismarck and started giving scuba classes and selling dive gear. In 1984, moved to the Caribbean and became water sports director for a 300 room Jamaican all-inclusive resort. From this position he was promoted to director of scuba diving for a Jamaican company with an exclusive watersports concession to service a total of 1000 hotel rooms (5 resorts) and 9 cruise ships that visited weekly. In the late 1980's, he returned to the US, expanded Scuba One, started doing commercial diving work, and began selling dive vacations throughout the world. Randy is very excited about winning the Pulse 8X and is looking forward to trying it out at some of the area’s dive sites and swimming spots to see what kind of lost items he might find. He would also like to put the detector into rental program to give other dive teams and recreational divers an opportunity to use this great machine. Taking the Pulse 8X on a dive with you, turns every dive into an underwater treasure hunt. It is also an indispensable tool in helping law enforcement personnel locate weapons used in the commission of crimes that are disposed of in a waterway as well as locate other physical evidence needed to convict a suspected criminal.
