HUMA1001 FOUNDATIONAL TEXTS IN THE HUMANITIES: Outline of Themes and Readings Reading: • In this course you will be reading two of the most famous novels in the Western tradition: Don Quijote and Emma. The expectation is that you read at least the passages listed below and ideally both novels. The more your read, the more you will understand and the more you will enjoy! • You may read the novels in any language you choose but you should read the English translations of the set passages from Don Quijote (provided on the LMES page) and the set sections of Emma in English. Teaching: • The course is taught through 1x lecture per week and 1 x tutorial. You must attend both.
